I've dined here since 2002 and each time I'm pleased to have chosen this restaurant to eat at. After a busy day of shopping various shops at the Brea Mall, La Vie En Rose satisified our hunger. This time, my family and best friend decided to have dinner here. My best friend commented that she loved the crispy duck legs soaked in sweet wine sauce, and I have to say the grilled scallops were indeed excellent. The staff at La Vie En Rose were very courteous and accomodative to my mother's dietary vegetarian palate with pink lemonade that is not listed on the menu. My father and brother were quite full from the large entrees of filet mignon and decided to be adventurous in ordering medium instead of their usual medium rare. I think the next time we dine here, they'll return back to medium rare, but that's my opinion. And the best for last... dessert! Crepes ordered as usual and of course a beautiful presentation as well as delicious. On a side note, I love their decorations, especially during Christmas! The festive tree decorated with ornaments and lights made their cozy fire in the lobby even more welcoming and cheerful if at all possible. I'm sure the platter of cookies in the lobby that the hostess offered to us would be scrumptious if we had any more room in our bellies. As one can tell, I praise La Vie En Rose for their hospitality, atmosphere, and cuisine. A definite recommendation for first time visitors as well as returning ones.

We have been celebrating important family milestones and occasions almost since La Vie En Rose opened it's doors. The superb staff has seen our children born, grow up and begin their own traditions of celebrating in this lovely and gracious place.
Each time we have been made to feel welcome and very special and this, apart from the beautifully prepared and presented food, is the real gift here!

My husband and I chose La Vie En Rose to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary after visiting other establishments. We were especially looking for a private room for our party. Everything we chose for appetizers and dinner was delicious and elegantly served. The anniversary cake the chef made was so good. Everyone raved about the menu, food, and service extended by your two servers, Summer and Michelle. We would also like to thank Julie, the Catering Manager, for her attention to detail.

I decided to go somewhere different for my girlfriend and I's fifth anniversary, somewhere classy and refined. I chose well when we went to La Vie en Rose. It was excellent in almost every way.
The ambiance was great, feeling very romantic and intimate even when you had other people around you. The ability to pull that off was impressive, and the service was superb. We were taken care of every step of the way.
The food was delicious. We were adventurous and tried dishes we've never had and it was a wonderful experience. Definitely recommended to anyone who wants a fine dining experience. I look foward to the next time we can go and endulge.

I grew up in Brea and have known of this fine restaurant, but never had the time to go. We would always tell ourselves that we would make the time to go, but on a special occasion. Well, that special occasion never came and I decided to go when my work was given fliers on the new Bistro lunch that La Vien was starting. I am so glad I went!! This will not be my last time here. I expect to come back again and again. The food was amazing. Our waitress: Summer was very hospitable and accomodating. She even gave us a tour of the whole restaurant. I recommend this fine restaurant to anyone and everyone. And will definitely be coming back for more.

I have been to La Vie en Rose many times when I have come to California to visit my sister Alice and her husband Haywood Payne. The last time I was there was about June 25th 2007 for a large family reunion of my West Coast relatives. We were the guest of Alice & Haywood Payne. The food is always delicious and the service is impeccable. I have come to look forward to dining there when I am in California. I will be in California from May 17th to June 1st 2008 and I do plan to dine there with Alice & Haywood.

I had always enjoyed La Vie En Rose. Last nite i took my great uncle and aunt there. The dishes were as good as i have always remembered. However, unfortunately the services were unusually slow last nite, and the main courses and soufle were all cold when they hit the table. That was too bad.

I remember coming to La Vie En Rose for the first time for my French mid-term of my senior year! My high school teacher noted that he has done this before and that each year was a great experience. The service was great, even though it was the whole class, the waiters were kind and wow, I loved listening to the waiters talk because their French sounded so exquisite. I loved it. I plan to surprise my family here for my parents anniversary!

My girlfriend and I had dinner here last nigth. It was our first time there and not our last. The duck was great, so was the lobster bisck. The prices are a bit high but is worth it. I know about french food and got to give them at least an 8! Try the snails....yummmm
